I’ve been running bogofilter in addition to SpamAssassin for a few days now. The reason is that more and more spam starts to seep through SpamAssassin’s cold clutches. Bogofilter has the advantage that it is much faster than SpamAssassin. The combination seems to work well; SpamAssassin now only runs if Bogofilter does not identify the mail as spam. This results in my machine not locking up while handling lots of mail anymore.

And so it begins. Again. I’m starting to pull in packages from unstable. Oh dear. At least now the glibc-troll shouldn’t cause cascading upgrades.

Updated my projects page last night and fixed it a bit this morning. Also, recently switched to XHTML Strict instead of Transitional.

Going to go to uni soon to hand it coursework. Have to jot down some crap for another coursework too soon, and start to write up report. My hands and fingers already hurt. This is going to be a painful five-week experience…

Fairly proud that my name crops up in a description of how the linux kernel development should work…

I’ve been speeding up some shell scripts quite a bit today, by replacing bash with ash. I’m pretty unimpressed with how slow bash is.

Just thought I’d mention that I’ve recently found function folding in Vim to be quite nice. I tried it once before and hated it, but now I quite like it. It may be that my functions are now a bit more substantial and it [folding] makes it a lot easier to navigate my sources…

Somebody please help me. I’ve been out running two days in a row now. Something is obviously wrong somewhere.

As suspected I didn’t manage to write a line for my OpenGL coursework yesterday. I’ve written up, say, 70 percent of it so far today though. The rest is emminent. It’ll have to be after I’ve had a shower, however, since I’ve just been out running.

It’s a lovely day; just came back from a stroll in the neighbourhood with Dave. The sun is shining and there’s not a cloud to see. The wind is a bit chilling though.

Yesterday I finished the coding part of my OpenGL coursework. Planning to write up the rest of it today. We’ll see how that goes.

After a few relatively slow days working on my project the last few hours have seen a slew of updates, including some changes to the user interface. I feel that I’m soon ready to give the code and documentation to a select few for comments. Any volunteers? :)

Plagued for a few hours by a terrible stommach cramp. I think it must have been induced by the apple juice I bought earlier today—the cramps certainly hit just after I started drinking it.
