Today I was repeatedly kicked in the goolies for having such easy access to my website!!

I am in tremendous pain and getting a lot of stick….

Found it best to update the password required for adding entries, since the last entry added was not from me… I have an idea who it was though.

Stig’s party piece

September 17, 2003

At the company piss-up, Stig showed us the trick of putting out a lit match in his mouth.

But it didn’t work.

Stig now has burnt mouth.

Tee Hee!

Oh dear…

September 14, 2003

One of my friends discovered this page that I made many, many moons ago. I had all but forgotten it until I got an email from him along these lines (I only stripped most headers and the signature, the rest of the email is included in full):

Subject: Nice

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I wonder how in the world he managed to stumble upon that, erm, gem. It’s annoying that it doesn’t point to the correct page anymore — I wonder if c2i.net would be helpful if I tried to fix that…

Update (8th Feb, 2004)

The page mentioned above has now been removed, after I brought it to c2i.net’s attention that I haven’t had a c2i.net account in over 5 years…

Hungover

September 13, 2003

Felt terrible this morning after yesterday’s company pissup. Suffice to say I had a bit too much to drink. I fell asleep on the Northern line and woke up whizzing past Waterloo. Quite an achievement, when you think about it, since this was a southbound train, and I originally entered a train going north to Edgware. You’d think they’d kick me off at the end stop, but no. I was in fact so ill this morning I had to get off the bus at Queensbury and get some fresh air. Ended up taking the tube instead of taking the next bus, so I didn’t arrive terribly late at work either.

Makeover

September 6, 2003

Actually changed the CSS of my webpages today; I was really tired with the look of it. As a sideeffect, the pages don’t look so weird to IE users (IE has limited support for CSS and could not cope with the old CSS I had). With the change from a 3-column layout to one column the page looks much better in text-based browsers such as Links, Lynx and w3m too. As a bonus, the pages still validate.

Laziness

September 6, 2003

I’ve been lazy and not updated my diary, even though I got it back up and running recently. I really should try to put an entry in at least a couple of times a week.

Lots of children went back to school this week, causing me to get late for work. Loads of parents driving their kids to school clogged up the roads, hindering the smooth running of the bus I take to work. I’m not happy — it now takes me an hour and a half to get to work instead of an hour.

One of my workmates left the company yesterday, so we arranged for him to have a “Haribo Hunt” (his idea of breakfast, lunch, dinner AND snack is Haribo) around the office. We had a few beers round the office and went to a pub after work. Managed to pull the plug on the drinking session and send the leaving guy home in a cab before it was too late. :)
