Broke my shiny new blender yesterday. Luckily I got the 3 year insurance option… Going to replace it tomorrow.

Swapping day

Yesterday my shiny new blender broke; it started leaking at the base. I still hadn’t thrown away the packaging, and after a bit of hunting around I even found the reciept. Today I returned it and bought a better one to replace it.

Productive Saturday

May 16, 2004

Yesterday was a fairly productive day. First I managed to apply for an account at HSBC and not get rejected immediately, then I got my camera “repaired” cheaply at Jessops in Harrow (it seems it just needed new batteries…) before setting off to the Liverpool street branch of Runners Need. There I bought a pair of Brooks running shoes, shorts and a t-shirt before heading off home.

Later I called a whole slew of my friends in Norway to find out when they’ll be around this summer. Turns out most of them are available all summer, so hopefully will meet them all. Have to check when I can get time off from work, but it looks like mid July will be the best time to shoot off.

I also did a bit of hacking on my Debian packages and website yesterday. Today, on the other hand, I’ve not been doing much. I’ve been out running and read a bit, but that’s about it. Have been making several portions of milkshake though.

Went to Argos and bought one of those blenders consisting of a base and a glass jug with a knife at the bottom. Stopped by Sainsbury’s on the way home and bought lots of juice, milk, vanilla ice cream, burboun cookies, strawberries, rasberries, blueberries and three types of melon. Not been sick yet, but the day is still young…

Just found out that Matthias Rustler has ported GGTL and its bundled games to AmigaOS. His work is briefly described here. He also reported a bug (and provided a fix for it) in the options parsing of the bundled games.
